Scrapbooking - With Karyn!

Hi Imaginarium Designs lovelies!!

It's Karyn here today sharing some scrapbook pages - made using lots of gorgeous Imaginarium Designs chipboard.

For this first page I've used a photo of Rachael and I and have made a fun mixed media background!
I started with a white sheet of cardstock. I placed a bubble pattern stencil over the cardstock and sprayed teal and navy Colorshine across the page. Then I took another stencil and appplied a Heidi Swapp metallic texture paste (in teal and silver) across the page - after considering photo and embellishment placement.

In the top left corner I added a chipboard embellishment cluster. I coloured all of my chipboard using Tattered Angels glimmer glaze. I love the thick shiny look it gives, and it is applied like nail polish. I cut the "George flourish" in half and placed part at the top of the page and the other half at the bottom.
Imaginarium Designs have a wonderful variety of phrases which are perfect for titles for your scrapbook pages.
I added some coordinating patterned papers behind my photo - these are from the Shimelle Starshine collection. A white paper doilie and flowers are always great ways to soften the look of the page.
I loved how this page turned out - its always fun to experiment with mixed media products!

This next page is a scraplift of a page I recently made. I've used a family photo taken on Jessica's 8th birthday earlier this year.
I started with a sheet of white cardstock and I painted 9 swatches of 3 different colours across the page. I used some watercolour pan paints for this - this is my favourite painting method as it is quick and easy!

Then I layered some papers underneath my photo - from the KaiserCraft Sea Breeze collection (I love the colours in this collection!!).
I painted all of my chipboard using the watercolour pan paints again. The matt look provides a modern look to the page.

  1. LOVE how the dots seem to fade out on the first layout and the cool background on the second! Great colors too! TFS!
