Hello friends on this eve of the year 2013...!

Today I bring you a short post with two Tags that I created as birthday gifts.
On both Tags I used stencils and texture paste to add some interest, they were inked using several colours of Distress Inks.

I used the embossing powders from the Industrial Chic set from Lindy's Stampgang on the Balloons. I first embossed them with the embossing powders and after heat setting I misted with a grey and a black mist.

I painted the corners with Distress Paints, Wild Honey and Rusty Hinge and a little Black Soot.

The flowers and flourishes were painted with Bundled Sage, Forest Most, Black Soot and a little Fire brick on the flower Heads. I also covered it all with a coat of Glossy Accents.

~ Christmas Cards ~

Hello Imaginarium friends...

With the countdown to Christmas in full swing, I want to share two cards I created with some of the lovely items available from Imaginarium Designs!

These are the gorgeous Christmas Trees...I prepared them with a layer of Gesso and once dried, I stamped a background image with Weathered Wood Distress Paint.

I added texture with some Coarse Texture Gel and micro beads and some white paint once it was dried. I also sprayed them with Lindy's Stampgang mist, Ghostly Gargoyle White.

The Happy Christmas title was just covered with some white texture paste and some glitter.

I used Pion Designs papers.
 Silent Night: Snowfall
                   Waiting for Santa II: Santa is coming

~~~~~
On this card I used the layered Baubles...
These come with a background and a hanger and are ideal to layer... Again they were gesso'd first, the background was inked with Storm Sky Distress Ink.
The top layer just got a sprinkling of Fairy Dust glitter to finish it of.
I painted the Music with Holly Symbols with Luck O' the Irish Glimmer Glam from Tattered Angels.
Pion Papers used are...Silent Night: Church
Waiting for Santa II: Stars in Heaven
You,
  A hearty Hi to all the Imaginarium Designs friends! It's me, Patricia again with a post for you. It is Saturday here in South Africa, at least it was when I wrote this post...hope to find you all doing well and crafting up a storm!
Today I used the Edward Relief Window and some Flourishes to create this page of my daughter Chantelle.
The papers are some old papers hidden away in my stash, no idea what so ever who they are from. I did a little hand stitching with a few pearl beads on the page. Also whitewashed the background with some Gesso and done some stencil work with a mask and some green Distress Ink.
My Window Frame was covered with a thick, uneven coat of Gesso and sprinkled with Spring Leaf Chartreuse embossing powder from Lindy's Stampgang. After heat setting with my Heat gun, I sprayed LSG Fuzzy Navel Peach Starburst and Treasure Island Turquoise Moon Shadow Mist onto it. The Mists settled nicely into all the nooks and crannies left from the embossing...
My Flourishes were lightly Gesso'd, inked with Forest Moss and Walnut Stain Distress Paint and some Rusty Hinge and Glossy Accents on the Berries.
Loving the Distressed look of the Window achieved from the Gesso...I cut the bottom part in half, rolled the sides to achieve some dimension and tied it together again with some string and a Prima Glass element.
For added texture on my page, I masked with Texture Paste and aged Ivory Embossing Enamel from Stampendous. The canvas frame is also a long time hoarded element, and the Butterfly a new Prima resin piece.
Some Prima and Petaloo flowers and a Prima Wood Bark Heart complete this LO of mine...The 'YOU" was cut from the phrase "Just for You" and also inked with the Distress Inks.
Were have the Years gone / Best Wishes
I can not believe it's September already? Making the title of my LO very appropriate..."Were have the Years gone", for this photo of Michelle is once again of her as a toddler at least 20 years ago! Whilst doing the stamped in UTEE technique last month, I at times stamped on the cooled UTEE making me think that it could be a neat marbling technique to try...and it works amazingly! I will give a photo tutorial at the end.
The Oval frame was done with this technique resulting in an amazing marble finish. The title was inked with Mix'd Media Inx; Chiffon and Wisteria and heat embossed with some Irredesant Sparkle embossing powder. I used papers from Creative Imaginations. Did some stamping and masking with texture paste on it.
Doesn't this finish look amazing...and the Imaginarium chipboard behaved beautifly even with all the intense heating that I applied to it.
The Prima resin bird got a little colour with Lindy's Stampgang Starburst, Cotton Candy Pink and Gregarious Grey.
I cut two strips with Tim Holtz Alteration Pennants Die, I used the shorter one as is and used the longer ones to roll as paper beads and glued them in between.
~~~

Step 1  Used Pearl UTEE on my frame.

Step 2: Stamped on the cooled UTEE with Archival ink; Plum and Sepia. It is best to use an acrylic block for the ink tends to slide on the UTEE, I wiped the mishaps of with a cloth until I was happy with my image...

Heat with heat gun, pushing the melted UTEE until the inks begin to marble.

...Best Wishes...

The same technique was used on this frame, this time using black UTEE with Jasmine and Pomegranate Inx. Also used Creative Imaginations paper again.

On the Butterfly wings I used Desert Moon Turquoise and Angel Wings Mauve embossing powders from Lindy's Stampgang...Used a Prima Sipper Pull as the body of the butterfly...

I hope I have inspired you to try these techniques...please feel free to share them with us on the Ning site, we would love to see what you create! And also remember, by leaving a comment on my post, you could stand a chance of winning a prize pack of Imaginarium design chipboard!
