Sentiments for Cards

Good morning! It's Gloria with you, from foggy southern California! I am happy to visit with you again today and share some projects. I went super simple (for me) today. I hope you enjoy looking.

Imaginarium Designs is known for the amazing chipboard shapes they produce, and also for the fantastic things the design team creates. However, I wanted to show you that you can use the words and alphabets to create simple sentiments for cards.

I used the tiny alphabets and part of the "Best Wishes" sentiment to make a Christmas greeting for my card.

I sprayed the chipboard with Color Wash Spray. I did not want to use shine or sparkle since I was already adding shimmer ribbon and a glitter frame to the mix.

I like the combination of the rustic with the sparkle. Very "old-fashioned Christmas" in style.

This next card is very different. I wanted to create a fun congratulations card for a friend's daughter. The chipboard word is quite long (5"), so I created a card that is 5 1/4 x 5 1/4 inches.

I did not want any sparkle on this card, so I sprayed the chipboard with Color Wash Spray and glued it to the printed paper. Color washes do not have mica powder in them, so they are only color. There is no shimmer.

I colored the image to match the paper and ribbons.

I love the dimension on the chipboard words and phrases.

Treasured Memories School Mini Album

Hello, everyone! Gloria with you today with a school-themed mini album.

I used chipboard to make a 5x7 mini album in a school theme.

I created the covers and the spine out of chipboard, which I then covered with cardstock and printed paper. The Imaginarium Designs clock chipboard shapes are so amazing that I think I use them on almost every project!

I covered the clock with Mix'd Media Inx Black and clear embossing powder. I used the same technique on the phrase.  For the girl silhouettes, I used Colorbox Wicked Black ink to ink them up.

I created some pockets and some "pages" out of tags, envelopes, and some "school" paper for journaling. Those silhouette chipboard shapes are perfect!

 

She's perfect for my envelope flap! This envelope can hold photos or more journaling cards.

 

I trimmed some lined paper and some graph paper and added it to the mini. Very "schoolish."

To make this bow, I used the Bow Easy tool to make three bows. Then I glued them together with Fabri-tac. I tied some twine to the button and glued it to the top of the bow. Easy peasy! I used Fabri-tac to glue the bow and G45 tags to the clock. Thanks for looking!
