October"s Colour of the Month is ...

Good Morning and Happy October!
October is a busy month for me. I get to be head cook at a camp for 140 people for a whole week - starting today. Then 2 weeks later - I cook jacket potatoes for 1000 people (and no I haven't added an extra zero by mistake). I also have a couple of family birthdays as well. So this month tends to fly past. Before long it will be November, then December, and the end of 2018.
So the Colour for October is Blue - I will let you into a little secret - It is my favourite colour and as my birthday is in October, I though it appropriate to have my favourite colour and birthday month combined.
I am really enjoying our colour challenge and would encourage anyone wanting to have a go, then do so. For every entry I received to date, I have been sending them all a bundle of our chipboard to play with.
To Enter - all you have to do is make a project with some of our chipboard on it and our colour of the month. Then send it to me at
sales@imaginariumdesigns.net.au or via messenger - Jane Tregenza. It needs to be to me by the 25th of October.
So let's see what Karyn has done to get the ball rolling.
Karyn is a master at layouts and has been teaching classes for me for quite a while. One of the classes she teaches each month is a layout + 2 Cards.
So today she is sharing her skills at card making with us.
Here is what Karyn has to say.

My inspiration project is 2 cards. The first is the card I made for Rachael's 17th birthday.

I started with a 6x6 Kraft card base and I added layers of papers from the Teresa Collins Urban Market collection and another layer of Kraft (I'm loving using Kraft with this paper collection!!) Then I added some tags and paper offcut strips. Lastly I added the chipboard (and left it raw), some paper flowers and splats of black paint.

For my next card I started with a white 3x3 cards base then added papers from the Urban Market collection (again) the chipboard and paper flowers. Finishing off with diamenties in each corner - simple yet elegant.
Imaginarium Designs chipboard I've used includes

17th: Code IDN0055

Lou's heart shapes : Code IDD0070
