Drum Roll Please

Finally it is our Colour of the Month "PINK" Reveal.
I have been receiving late emails from some of our lovely ladies. They have had trouble getting their projects to us, so I have held off doing this post until I have everyone's projects..
First up I want to share some of our design teams projects today - I will be sharing  a couple of the design team projects tomorrow as well.

First up is Karyn.
Karyn has done another lovely layout for us, using deeper shades of pink. I love the strong colours she has used and the bold foundation paper she has chosen for her layout. She is not shy when it comes to working with colour.

Karyn has use a family holiday snap for her page. Everyone looks like they are having fun. Here is what Karyn has to say about her beautiful page.

I've created a scrapbook page for this challenge using the amazing 7 Dots Paint Chips paper collection along with lots of gorgeous ID Chipboard!
I started my page with a piece of the sheet of 7 Dots "Glaze" paper (I love the bright PINK and yellow background!). I had a photo from our recent holiday that was of a sunset so I placed it on the page so it aligned with the "sun" on the paper. I also aligned the horizon in the photo with the horizon on the paper and accentuated it with some black thread.

I kept embellishments to a minimum with chipboard clustered on, around and under my photo. I also added 2 tags under my photo. One was cut from a piece of 7 dots paint chips “under paper” and the other is a manila tag where I hid my journaling.

I have left all of the chipboard raw with just a touch of inking in black around the edges. Lastly I added paint splats in PINK and black using Prima Watercolor confections “Originals” these colours are so vibrant.
Karyn has a real eye for detail and her layout show a simplicity that is just perfect. The way she has positioned her photo to use the white space on her print paper is so clever. By using her chipboard "Raw" rather than colouring it, Karyn has made sure it really pops off the page.

I love Karyn's work and this layout is so bold and beautiful.
Thank you Karyn for sharing your page with us.

Next up is Sonia
Sonia's style of scrapbooking is so beautiful. I love the shabby look Sonia achieves on all her work and all the amazing details she puts on her foundation pages before she starts adding her carefully chosen embellishments.  With two beautiful Girls, pink would have to be one of Sonia's favourite colours.
Here is what she has to say about her work.

Having two beautiful girls in my life means that pink is one of my favourite colours to work with so I was a happy girl this month!
I love the font on the 'Just You' phrase (IDP0005) which I heat embossed in white to give it a crisp white finish. I added some alpha stickers to extend the title even more.
ard (IDT0006) pack and added a butterfly and some flowers to create an embellishment cluster in the corner.
The small Peacock Feather (IDD0060) adds a pop of white to the top right hand side to balance my colours. Finally I placed a couple of Nat's Hearts (IDD0042) which I love to use to add movement to my page

One of the things I love is ornate frames! I used one of the frames from the 2 Frames on a Board (IDT0006) pack and added a butterfly and some flowers to create an embellishment cluster in the corner.

I chose some flowers, and added some touches of white paint to them to soften the flower shapes and colours.

The small peacock feather (IDD0060) adds a pop of white to the top right hand side to balance my colours. Finally I placed a couple of  Nat’s hearts  (IDD0042) which I love to use to add movement to my page.

Once again Sonia has done a really lovely shabby and pretty page for us. I love her photo it's just gorgeous and how happy do they look.
Thanks for sharing your layout with us.

I will have another two design team members projects to share tomorrow.
Now it time to show you the layouts we have received for our May's Colour of the Month.
May's colour of the month is Pink and quite a few of the ladies have created layouts celebrating their Mothers..
 But first up is.

Robyn Owen
Robyn has done a wonderful layout, featuring her daughter. She has done two different techniques on her chipboard.

For her chipboard flourish Robyn has used a hot foil technique. I love the finish it gives the chipboard, the colour is so bold and strong.

For her title, Robyn has embossed it with white embossing powder. What a lovely flower cluster, Robyn has done. I love the little touch of white chipboard stem that Robyn has tucked under her flowers.
Thank you Robyn for sending us your lovely layout. We will be sending you a $50 bundle of our chipboard to play with.

This beautiful shabby layout is from Anne-Maree Campbell.
Just look at all the work Anne-Maree has done for this layout. Lots of beautiful layers have been used to create this look. Anne-Maree has used some of our chipboard flourishes and  corner, designed for us by Denise Boddy. Anne-Maree has chosen some lovely flowers and tucked more of our flourishes under them. Thank you Anne-Maree for sending us such a lovely layout. Anne-Maree  will be receiving a $50 bundle of our chipboard to play with.

Next up is Julie Cox.
Julie has done a really lovely shabby layout celebrating her mother's 80th birthday. What a special photo and Julie has done a wonderful page. I love her choice of flowers and the way she has clustered them around her photo. She has also chosen the perfect chipboard title for her page. I love her shabby white embossing powder finish on her "Special Memories" chipboard title.
Julie will be receiving a $50 bundle of our chipboard to play with.

Now it's Pat Evans turn to share her layout with us. She also has chosen to do a layout celebrating her Mum and has used a vintage photo. What beautiful papers she has chosen to work with. She has also chosen some beautiful flowers to cluster around her photo. I love the two tone colour finish she has done on her beautiful chipboard corner flourish. Pat will also be receiving a $50 bundle of our chipboard to play with.

Penny Powel ahs also sent a stunning layout, celebrating her mother. Just look at all the detail Penny has done on her back ground page. Penny has also chosen lots of beautiful flowers to cluster around her photo. she also has chosen to do a pretty and delicate layout. I love clocks and Penny has chosen my favourite chipboard clock. She has also used some chipboard hand drawn circles designed by Louise Nelson. What a lovely photo of Penny and her Mum.
Penny will be receiving a $30 dollar bundle of our chipboard to play with.

Margaret Aitken has also sent us a layout featuring her Mum and herself. Here is what she had to say about her layout.
This month I have used your chipboard "Thinking of You " IDP0100.  I painted it in a shimmering pink.   I die cut some rose clusters and painted these in a slightly softer shimmering pink and placed them in opposite corners of the page and some poking out of the cluster of flowers around the bottom of the photo.   I used the papers  "Sage and Grace" by Kaisercraft as I really like the several shades of pink in the papers.  I did a lot of fussy cutting of flowers and placed them around the photo of my mum and me in which some I laid flat and others are 3D.
Wow, the fussy cutting must have taken Margaret a while. What a lovely layout and what a special photo.
Thank you Margaret for sending us your layout. Margaret will also be receiving a $30 bundle to play with.
Thanks everyone for the work you have all done, it was wonderful seeing the emails in my email box and looking at your wonderful layouts..
Our June colour of the month will be on the blog on the 1st of June. I would love to see more of you entering our challenge.
Back tomorrow with our final projects featuring May's Colour of the month.
thanks for looking
Jane
