Summer Inspiration with Leonie Neal-Dawson

Welcome! Leonie Neal-Dawson here today for my first post in 2017, a big thank you to Jane Tregenza for having me back on the fabulous Imaginarium Designs Team.  I hope I can continue to inspire and get you creating with some of our awesome chippie designs and I'm here to start the year with some summer inspiration.  I think I've been inspired by to bight warm days we've been having with lots of red, orange and yellow on my pages today.

So lets jump straight into things with this bright happy page.  Yellow is such a happy colour and when I came to scrap this picture of my son and his yellow cricket ball I had to use it as a base for this page.   I then added black including on the 'Remember When' title to make it pop.  I painted the Phillis Frame I place over one of the photo's white and added some Yellow chipboard hearts and his cricket bowling scores with Imaginarium chipboard numbers to finish off the page.

'Remember When'

'Wild At Heart'
My second page today titled 'Wild At Heart' features the beautiful large Monarch Butterfly Chipboard, some of Nat's Hearts and the Wild At Heart title of course.
I had the perfect photograph to use with the butterfly chipboard taken on a recent holiday we had in Sydney.  My daughter was happy to pose infront of some of the wonderful murals painted at Bondi Beach.

I used paint dabbers on my chipboard for this page.  Beginning with the red colour and layering the orange and white on top once each previous layer of paint was dry.
I love the mottled effect this achieves on the chipboard.

'Your Time To Shine'

My final share for today is this page 'Your Time to Shine'.  I love the the script of this chipboard.
I've also added one of our congratulations words (these would be great for cards too) and some chevrons and hearts.

I added some sketchy lines to the title with a gel pen after painting it red.

Thanks so much for stopping by the Imaginarium Designs blog today.  If you're feeling crafty this summer I hope there's some inspiration here to get you on your way.

Cheers,
Leonie Neal-Dawson.
