Today is Australia Day ... January 26th ...

We will celebrate in lots of ways here in Australia ... most of us spend time relaxing with our friends and family, having a BBQ or just taking a day to
think how lucky we are to live in this amazing country!

  4. Usually my friend hosts an Aussie Day BBQ breakfast and damper cookoff but it is pouring rain here today :( But never fear I'm having fun blog hopping like a bush kangaroo and I'm going to get some scrapping done too :)

  6. I had to say goodbye to my parents for a few weeks this morning as I drove them to the airport. On the plus side, having a barbie with friends this evening! What else is there on Australia day?

  8. My favourite way to spend Australia Day is heading down to the local council celebrations, eating all the multicultural food from the stalls and taking some more great photos to scrapbook.

    To be honest we havent ever had an Australia day where hubby hasnt been working so for us its squeezing in as much family time as we can when he gets home :D BBq and cold drinks are always not far away :D

  22. I SO wish i was Australian right now for 2 reasons... so that i could say it's Scrapbooking Day too (i'll still be celebrating!!!) and so that i could be warm (it's been in the minus 30 celsius all week here in Canada!) hehe

  29. Well I'm not from Aussie, I'm from the Netherlands....we only celebrate Queensday with the hole country....
    What I can see her is that every Australien is proud to be an Australien en that the love there country by celebrathing it together.

  33. well our day started very early with an Australa Day breakfast at the neighbours ...it extended out to about 130pm and was the bestest day

  47. Our Australia Day was spent with family, a quiet day, unfortunately didn't get to any of the big events or live fireworks displays but still had a great day!!!
