Time to enjoy the festivities!

Hi everyone, Sonia here hoping you had a fabulous Christmas and are enjoying the festivities and family time that this time of the year brings. Hopefully there is a little bit of creative time that can be squeezed in for you as well to finish off 2018!
In between all of the running around that the end of the school year brings and then the preparation for Christmas, it was nice to stop and have some me time at the craft desk. As always, having a play with Imaginarium Designs chipboard is a fabulous time to relax and play!

Beautiful Moments in Time

Imaginarium Designs products used: 'Beautiful Moments in Time' (IDP0105), Janice Flourish (IDFL0026) and Birds and Heart Frame (IDFR002)

All of the chipboard has been heat embossed in white which is a lovely soft contrast to the blue's and green's in the background of the layout

The Birds and Heart frame comes as a pack of two frames. After heat embossing the frames in white, I trimmed two photos to fit the frames and then used foam tape to layer the frames onto the layout

The mix of fonts on the title phrase add a sense of movement to the page

Set of small vintage tags

Imaginarium Designs products used: Five tags on a Board (IDS0064) and Denise's Trellis with Flourish (IDD0008)

The tiny tags have been covered with vintage paper and then edges carefully sandpapered to show all of the gorgeous detail in the edges. Two of the tags have bits of Denise's Trellis which has been heat embossed in an aged silver

Using a vintage brown ink around all of the edges help with the vintage feel and tie all of the tags together

  1. Soon after Christmas, Japanese people start preparing for the year-end and New Year’s events.
Compared to Christmas, many of these events are based on Japanese tradition and are deeply related to religion.
The end-of-year party is called “bonenkai” in Japanese. “Bonen” means to forget (the worries of) the past year.
People are busy with events on New Year’s Eve.
