December Challenge

Hello Everyone
Christmas is such a wonderful time of the year, that one day is not enough, the Christmas spirit needs to last longer - all year would me amazing but a bit unrealistic. So I want to start a movement that Christmas lasts a week! until News Years Day.
To that end I am sharing a beautiful Christmas Card by Tracey

This card is just too beautiful for only one day, I am sure that Tracey's card would be in pride of place on the mantelpiece.
Here is what Tracey has to say about her special card.

Gold is definitely a Christmas colour! I love the vintage aged gold and reds. I created this vintage Christmas card using gold glitter card and vintage papers.
I have heat embossed the gorgeous ID frame (one of my favourites) in an aged gold along with the ID phrase "Best Wishes".

I added a pop of white to contrast the white card and heat embossed with a vintage white the ID Chipboard leaves.

I love the contrast of  Christmas colours with the gold and white embossing powder. It just looks amazing. Tracey has an eye for this kind of detail, there is a real art to clustering your bits and pieces to keep the balance just right and Tracey has nailed it.
thanks so much Tracey for helping me to keep the Christmas Spirit lasting a bit longer.

Next up is Sonia.
Sonia is also doing her bit to help the spirit last longer with her Happy Holidays Card.
This card is good for at least a few weeks! depending on how long you have off.

Here is what Sonia has to say about her beautiful card.

The theme of gold for December just begged for me to do a Christmas card! All of my Imaginarium Designs chipboard has been heat embossed in gold embossing powder.

The gorgeous "Jackie Frame' (IDFR0033) was the starting point for the design of my card. I then used the 'Main Alphabet' in Upper Case (IDA0006) and Lower Case (IDA0004) for my greeting. Some of my letters I had previously painted white to use on another project and then had changed my mind. When I heat embossed the gold embossing powder little bits of white showed through and I actually love the finish it gave! I love little accidents like that.To finish off, I heat embossed one of the stars from 'Stars on a Board' (IDS0076) and before the embossing could cool and it was still sticky, I sprinkled on some gold glitter to use on another project, but changed my mind. Once again Sonia has created another lovely project for us. Her attention to detail is amazing, little bits of paint on her flowers to look like snow, rubbed edges of her phrases to look worn and the finish on her chipboard is just stunning, sometimes our "Accidents" end up being our best idea.
Thanks so much for sharing this Happy Holidays card with us.

Lastly Karyn has been busy and has done another of her wonderful layouts for us.
Karyn always explains her projects so well, so I am going to let her take it away!

Hi Lovelies!!

The December Colour of the month at Imaginarium Designs chipboard is "Gold". We would love for you to join in the challenge and create a project using Imaginarium Designs chipboard that is inspired by the colour Gold then send a photo to Jane at sales@imaginariumdesigns.net.au (before 27th December) and you will be in the running to win a fabulous chipboard prize pack!!

Today I've created a scrapbook page with a photo of Moi!!
I started with a sheet of 12x12 white cardstock. I then used a TCW stencil (mini corncob etching) and some gold texture paste to add some interest to the background. I made my own gold texture past by mixing gold paint, whipped spackle (or you could use white texture paste) and gold glitter paste (for sparkle).

I used paper from the My Minds Eye Joyful collection to mat my photo. I also added some Heidi Swapp Color Magic diecuts and tags.

I painted all of the chipboard with gold acrylic paint.
I added some gold thread and paper flowers in places.
Lastly I splattered Heidi Swapp Gold Colorshine across my page.
Imaginarium Designs chipboard I've used includes

Brackets on oval: Code IDT0012
Loolabelles cherry blossom : code IDDL00013
Simple Things Matter Most : code IDP0031

Thanks so much for stopping by

Karyn
Thanks so much Karyn for explaining to us exactly how you put your layout together. It is true that the simple things in our life - matter most, spending time with family, just saying hello and smiling at everyone you met are some of the things that help make the world a nicer place.
The Design Team ladies have created three beautiful pieces for us - all featuring gold our colour of the month.
I will be back again to show you the projects I have received from you. Have a great week and do your bit to keep the Christmas spirit last longer.
hugs
Jane
