Pass The Sunglasses!!!

Happy Monday everyone! Julianne here, and today I would like to share two of my creations with you, a layout and a tag. But first, please pass the sunglasses! You will need them. These projects are filled, and over-flowing, with colour. And lots of it!!!

"BORN 2 FLY"
This layout is about my eldest daughter, who is fast growing into a little lady. She will soon start to spread her wings, and want to fly. I've filled the layout with Imaginarium Designs chipboard, metallic trinkets, and bold, bright colours. This layout is all about the layers and the colours.

To create these vivid colours on my chipboard, I first paint each piece with white Gesso. I then take some pieces and spray them with Dylusions or Glimmermist before adding them to the layout, while other pieces I leave white, add them to the page, then spray with colour. To make the colours "pop" even more, I have coloured the chipboard pieces (once dry) with Pan Pastels.

I have used the same techniques on the small Monarch butterfly, but I have finished off with a coat of Kindy Glitz. The photo corner was coated with both Glimmermist and Glimmer Glam.

I have layered the chipboard pieces with metal trinkets and flowers, to create depth and dimension. I have finished off the metal trinkets with a layer of Glimmer Glam and/or Glimmer Glaze.

The second project I would like to share is a tag, also filled with bright, bold colours.

I had forgotten how much fun creating a tag could be. I love creating so many details, in such a small space.

The vibrant red shade of the Monarch buttefly has been created with a glitter embossing powder. It is just so rich and visually pleasing. And there is a beautiful subtle glimmer and shimmer.

I love this Monarch butterfly so much I am going to create another tag in shades of pink. You can never have too many tags!!! (If you would like to see the finished project please drop by my blog).
