Celebrating all things French

Today I want to share a lovely layout from Gloria and a beautiful vintage card from Sandie.

First Gloria's layout.

Look at the detail she has manage to include on her layout. There is a pocket in the corner with little bits and pieces poking out. You just want to pull everything out and have a good look. The colours are so pretty and delicate. I love the way all the elements come together.

I love what she has done to her chipboard butterfy.
Gloria has even included some Techniques for you to try!

Techniques:
1. Paint butterfly and Paris word art with white acrylic paint. Let dry. Then spray with texture spray and allow to dry. Ink with chalk ink for a soft, watercolor look.
2. Ink tiny frame with black archival ink.

A trip to Paris is on my bucket list and every time I see someones layout with their Paris photos, I feel quite green with envy. Gloria has certainly caused me to turn a deep shade of green.

Now for Sandie's beautiful card.
I love the image she has used, this lady looks quite French. She has made a perfectly elegant card. Any one would love to receive a card like this as a keepsake. Sandie has made it to stand so everyone can enjoy it.
Here is what Sandie had to say about her card.

The ‘Best Wishes’ card holds the ‘Swirly Frame’ (IDFR0004) which is just so ornate with delicate details (so pretty and one of my very favourites).  It stands at 3” X 2” and is perfect for framing small photographs or pictures in creative projects.  Also, there is a larger version available.  I really wanted the frame to stand out on my card, so I painted the frame with the ‘Antique Gold’, and then a light layer of ‘Gold’ (which is a little brighter) using Creative Inspiration paints.  This process gave a beautiful shimmer to the frame really highlighting it.

‘Best Wishes’ (IDW0008) was applied to the base of the card, and painted in the same manner. The ‘Best Wishes’ shows how beautiful the chipboard shimmers after being painted – I just love it!!  Decorating around the frame using flowers, die cuts, charms and ribbons, really enhanced the piece.

Isn't it a beautiful lovely old fashion keepsake, one sure to be treasured by anyone receiving it.
