Selfies with the girls

Its selfie month here at Imaginarium and the girls have created great projects.

I've used the 'Hear Me Roar' chipboard title to help document my selfie pic for this months theme. I have some hidden journaling behind the tabs above my photo's. I've also used some of the bubbles chipboard pieces and like the title they have been treated with some gold Glitter.

Selfies are not Sonia's favourite theme for a photo and she has a definite preference for being behind the camera lens! However a challenge is a challenge and so a vintage inspired layout was needed to suit the photo!! A Woodgrain background along with soft vintage pinks and creams are always a fabulous combination. To set off this colour palette the chipboard was heat embossed with white embossing powder to create a crisp, white contrast.

August theme is "Me" and I've used this photo on one of my reflection moments. I love to read and to be alone on the garden. The journaling is on the tag under the title.

Yes I am also one of those people that doesn't like photos taken of themselves and will often avoid being in a photograph and you will find me behind the lens taking the shots. So this was a big challenge taking a "Selfie" and then having to scrap it. I thought I would embrace the selfie and use snapchat to take this pic,  To create my layout I used texture paste and a stencil, along with some colour sprays to add some colour to the plain background. I matted the photo using vellum to soften the edges. I used the two pieces of ID Kerry Flourish Large and heat embossed them using a brown embossing powder. I placed the flower cluster around the ID Kerry Flourishes. For the ID Chipboard title "Reflections" I also used an embossing powder in black to colour the chipboard.

Thanks for sharing girls
