Here in Australia, we celebrate Mother's Day on May 14th so I decided that this month
our themed projects would be for or featuring Mums!

To create this simple Mothers Day card Louise has used the Cherry blossom
chipboard to coordinate with a stenciled pattern on card.

19 Years ago I began scrapping because when introduced to the craft it resonated so throughly with me ... I had just had the first of my 6 children and as a new mum I wasn't sure how this little person would ever know me or how much I loved him if something were ever to happen to me? My mum had died when I was 6 and I knew next to nothing about her my whole life. Scrapbooking instantly offered me a way to make sure that would never happen to my children.... so I feel in love with everything about it at first sight.
Now Mothers Day for me is all about these 6 amazing, funny and beautiful people I'm sharing the ride with... And even though scrapbooking is still a hugely important part of my life, I think I can safely say that my impact on them has permeated deeply enough that were all papercrafts lost to this world, there would be no end to the memories we've made together....
scrapping is now simply the cherry on top :) Just as it should be <3

Oh yeah .... and this layout was made with Bombay Sunset papers from Kaisercraft
and only the coolest of Imaginarium chippies.

This is my card for my amazing Mum. I used a range of techniques with my Imaginarium Chippie this time. 'Love' and the 'Heart' were inked and then embossed with with several different colours of Tinby Metallic Melts layers. The 'Flourish' was sprayed with white gesso and then painted with numerous layers of Lindy Stamp Gang flat ink sprays. And the 'Bird cage' was painted with Lindy's magicals and then random areas lightly embossed.
The background was stenciled then with Lindy's ink with a lot of water to give a soft tone, stamped and then small pieces of paper and washi tape added.
