Cold And Yet Passionate!!

Hi, everyone. Carol here today with 3 projects to share. The first 2 are a double page layout and the last project is a early Valentine's Day box and card.

"Snow/Korea" Layouts

Made these 2 layouts for our recent Korea trip in Dec. Pictures are taken in Mont Blanc peak at Phoenix Park Ski Resort, Korea. Its so cold!!! -13 degree. Our kids' first experience with snow and winter. So I created these 2 layouts to reflect the cold!!!!

Watercolor and drip the centre of the 2 layouts with Ecoline liquid watercolors. Then I apply snow glitter paste over the tiny dots stencil to create snowflakes. Also stamped some snowflakes with blue inkpads. For the Bubbles chipboard, I cut it into 2 parts(1 part for each layout) and adhered to a patterned paper. So when I lay the layouts side by side, its joined back into one piece again.

This picture of my girl is taken in a small frozen pond at the peak. She had fun gathering the snow though its hard to make them into a ball.

For all the chipboards, I left them raw. Added some puff up paint and glitter glue to the chipboards to resemble the gathered snow.

Love this picture of my boy. He had so much fond memories of snow and the cold weather at Korea that he say he want us to bring him back again.

This picture is also taken at the frozen pond.

"No Greater Love" Valentine's Day Box and Card

After the "cold", I'm sharing something passionate. Hee.. A gift for my hubby. Its an early Valentine's Day box (I hope I got time to bake some heart cookies for him, else it will be heart shaped soaps in the box) and a card. Next month will be a busy month for us Chinese as its our Chinese New Year! So yes, I made these gifts earlier so I won't end up not doing. LOL.

For the papermache box, I gesso both inside and outside. Then I paint over with pink mist (just a light pink coating). Diecut the heart shape patterned paper. Painted the scallop heart chipboard with red acrylic paint and adhered the heart paper on it.

For the title chipboard, I rub Granite Viva Decor Inka Gold on it. Also rub green Viva Decor Inka Gold on the leaves chipboards. Adhered them to cover of box and added some microbeads with 3D gloss gel and copper mist.

Added punched lace border unto the cover too. For the sides of box, I also added some microbeads, copper mist and flowers.

Diecut 2 scallop hearts for the cardbase and pop up diecut heart patterned paper on it with foam tape. For the heart chipboard, I want to share a amazing technique. Wonder why it took me so long to think of it though I don't think its new technique. Ha ha...

I emboss the heart chipboard with a medallion embossing folder. Love the result. So excited!!! LOL. Then I painted it with red acrylic paint and rub with fingers some Granite Viva Decor Inka-Gold.

Love this tiny heart shaped card. Hope my hubby will love it too.
