White is pretty!!

Hi, everyone. Carol here today to share 2 projects based on a white theme. I loved white background. I like the clean, calming look that white gave off. I can layer on many embellishments and stuff on it and it still look pretty. So today I created a canvas and a layout with a white background. The canvas being loaded with many stuff and the layout a clean look.

"May Love Be The Heart Of  This Home" Canvas

For the background I layered texture paste spread over stencils. Randomly apply colors with Twinkling H2Os and old gold paint.

For the wooden birdhouse I gesso over it and add burlap sheet to the roof then paint some gesso over. For this new heart with 2 birds chipboards, I gesso and painted them with old gold paint. For the Edward Relief chipoard, I gesso over and add Twinkling H2Os watercolor.

For the title chipboard, I gesso and painted with black paint. The heart shape piece behind the title chipboard is given free by a friend. Just in time for this project.

Tips: To create the rough texture of the chipboards, I use a sponge brush to dab gesso on them before paint them. Love how they look.

I couldn't resist to add G45 paper cut outs and the fairies again. After all is adhered down, I add some Prima microbeads and own stash of jewelry making beads with Prima 3D gloss gel.

Though it seems quite bulky and alot of stuff, the overall white color pulls them all together and still gives the calming effect I love.

"Handsome & Cheeky" Layout

Adore this picture of my boy when he's younger. Doesn't he look like a cute cross eyed tortoise soft toy?? Hee... took this picture when he was in his crib. For the background I simply rub chalk inks over stencils then pop up the papers with foam tape. Dripped some 13Arts black ink over the middle.

For the title and feathers chipboards, I gesso over with sponge brush again and painted them with black and watercolors. Love the clean look. The eyes are simply drawn towards the photo with this white clean palette.

Here's the chipboards I have used:

The heart with 2 birds and "cheeky" word chipboards are new designs.
