Vintage Altered Box and Shabby Birdhouse

Hey everyone, Miranda here today with 2 shares using lots of chippies! First up is this altered box i created. I wanted to do something completely vintage and keep away from any colors other than earth tones. I hinged my lid open, just for something different for a change. And I filled it up like a treasure box :) I hope you all like it!

The border piece was inked with frayed burlap and the edges with black soot.
This bicycle was SO FUN! i loved altering it! I gessoed it first, then used gold and white metallic alcohol ink on it. Then just inked the edges with black soot.
For the accent flourish at the top i just sprayed it with before dawn shimmerz a few times.
The white spray coming out of the flowers was simply gessoed. Easy peezy

Next up is this little birdhouse I found in the store and had to alter. I did a crackle paint job on it, using elmers glue. That stuff works so well! The only paper i used was bits of Prima Almanac rolled up here and there. All of the chippies got lots of layers of goodness.
All the chippies on the front got the same treatment except the butterfly(my fave chippie.) The butterfly was just inked with frayed burlap and a pearl added to the center. The other chippies were gessoed, then painted with Antique Lace Shimmerz, then stamped with a script stamp and frayed burlap  ink.

The "Memories" chippie, got the same treatment as the front, minus the script. And while the shimmerz was still wet i heat set it to make it bubble. Its so shimmery and textured!

Well thats it for me this time :) I hope you all hve a lovely week ahead!
