Some creative tag fun :) :) :)

Hello Hello :)

Well have you been as blown away as I have been with the creations from this incredible Design Team this month?! OMGoodness!!!!!! Just Wow!!

Well I am sorry to say that you guys are having to put up with me having a go at something else that is 'outside my comfort sone'. Last time I hit you with my ATC experimenting, and now its tags! for so long I have created mostly layouts. But I really want to start doing more tags. So much inspiration 'out there' and Im loving it :)

My first proper tag [sts] I created for the Prima NSD Blog Hop >>> HERE, I used some Imaginarium grey board to create the tag background and went from there.

Today I have used a small Imaginarium tag [stole it from Jane's stash while she was interstate teaching at the Brisbane Papercraft and Scrapbooking Expo] LOL :)

Im slowly getting more comfortable with the perspective needed for such a small project, [as a lover of large areas of white space] its a challenge LOL :)

Below is a step out of sorts of how I made the tag. I apologise profusely as the photos were taken with my mobile phone so quality isnt the best.

The background of the tag is first spray painted white. I then used the Tim Holtz metallic distress paint to create a painterly effect.

Using the same metallic paint I coloured the chipboard frame and feather.

When the frame was dried I cropped my photo to fit the frame, and then adhered it with double sided adhesive tape.

I started to layer up my embellishments; first beginning with a Vintage metal trinket which has been cut in half. on top of that I have artfully arranged some cotton thread.

Next I positioned and adhered the [cut in half] metallic coloured flower and chipboard feather over the metal vintage trinket and cotton thread, using adhesive foam dots.

The photo and frame was adhered to the feather using quick drying glue.

Extra metal embellishments positioned and adhered using clear drying glue.

Extra splats of colour added with chalkboard glimmer mist [I protect my photo just with a scrap of paper]

A final touch is to add some colour to the small heart shapes on the frame with the chalkboard glimmer mist.

Materials used;

Imaginarium Designs
Skeletal feather IDDL 0006
Tag and Frame scavenged from discard box

Other
Tim Holtz Metallic Distress paint
Tattered Angels Chalkboard Glimmer mist
Spray paint
Prima Marketing Vintage Trinkets, SIIC, & Flowers
Cotton Thread

Well that be it for me this month on the Amazing Imaginarium Designs blog!!

Cheers for now and I do hope you are having a fabulous week :)
