The Color Guest Designers this week are ....

Jane and Asuka!!!!!

Congratulations ladies!

This is our final week sponsoring The Color Room and we have had a ball! The quality of work created by our super talented Design Team is truly mind blowing! Thanks so much girls!

This week, the color palette was rather girly!
Asuka has created the most beautiful page I think I have ever seen. The attention to detail is simply amazing.
This is what Jane has created!
Isn't it stunning!!!!
The detail is just amazing and Jane has also done a Tutorial for her chipboard techniques (and thanks to our wonderful hand model Maureen xxx)

TREASURED MEMORIES

Materials

Arch Chipboard from Imaginarium Designs

Vintage photo and Age Mahogany Distress inks

Versa Colour polar Blue

Blush Perfect Pearls

For the colour room palette, I needed to mix my inks to get the right shade of colour on my chipboard. First I inked it with Tim Holtz Distress inks using a sponging block. I chose an Arch frame from Imaginarium Designs which I will place over my photo.

I then needed to add some blue and I used a versa colour ink in Polar Blue. This is a great ink pad as you can rub it directly to the chipboard. You need to heat dry the chipboard – this is important if you are going to use perfect pearls which I did next.

I then inked a paisley image stamp with Aged Mahogany Distress Ink. Using a distress ink with Perfect Pearls means you can only stamp a small area and need to put it into the pearls quickly as the ink dries quickly.

Once you have inked the image once and placed it in the perfect pearls, you need to brush the excess powder off with a soft brush. Repeat the stamping, powdering and brushing until you have worked your away around the whole arch.

Here is a close up of the effect you get. The perfect pearls gives it a soft pink glow with highlights in the metallic finish.

Great work ladies!

Dont forget to leave a message before Monday to go into our weekly draw for some FREE CHIPBOARD!
