Teal is March's Colour of the Month

Hello Everyone
Well in Adelaide, where I am fortunate to live, we have what is called Mad March.. Adelaide’s annual festival season, known as Mad March, is more than ever as much about exploring the city’s foodie evolution as it is about attending an array of arts, sports, music and social events packed into the Month of March. Events include The Adelaide Fringe, Adelaide Festival of Arts, Long Lunch Series, Womadelaide, Taste the World, Adelaide Cup, Clipsal 500 and Adelaide writers Week. There heaps more but these are the bigger events. It truly is a mad month with so much happening. Shows to see. Football, races and all the food events.
I wish I could say that I have been busy attending everything and forgot to do a couple of posts this month!. But not true - I have had my own mad March with the birth of a new Grandson. Helping another daughter with an 8 week granddaughter. A week in Sydney with another daughter and granddaughter, Not to mention everything else I have had to do. So apologies  for missing my two post days. This means that today I get to share two projects from the design team Ladies featuring teal and am going to shift my reveal day to the 30th of March.
This months "Colour of the Month" is Teal. It has proved to be a favourite of nearly everyone!

First up is Tracey
Tracey has done two beautiful Tags featuring teal and some of my favourite Imaginarium Designs chipboard.

I love Tags, they are one of my favourite forms of scrapbooking. I like small things so they fit the bill. Tags are a miniature layout with everything you would put on a page, just without the photo but with more words. Tracey is a master at tag making as you can see from the two she has made for us. Beautiful colours, perfectly selected elements and everything carefully placed so as not to crowd and over power her sentiments.

Here is what Tracey has to say about her tags.
To create these tags, I chose a teal coloured paper and also added a spritz of teal colour bloom spray and a few flicks of vintage gold spray. To add that little bit more dimension I have used the ID Mallory Mask & Stencil set with texture paste. For the ID chipboard Skeletal Feather, Butterfly and Heart frame I have heat embossed  randomly with a copper embossing powder. I chose some words and add them to my tags. All I needed to do was tie a ribbon at the top to finish.

I love the mask Tracey has used on her second tag and the heart chipboard is a favorite.
Two beautiful tags from Tracey ready to add to a layout as a feature or give away if Tracey can bear to part with them. I think they would be perfect for the cover of a mini tag album.
Thank you Tracey for sharing your teal colour of the month project with us.

Sue also has made a project featuring our Colour of the Month.

How gorgeous is this little box, I love boxes - you never know what is inside. Maybe there is treasure, a long lost keepsake or a family Heirloom, you just never know. If you watch the Antiques Road show then you know the box sometimes gives you a clue to the designer, which is true here as well. This is a signature "Sue"  Project. Lots of gold, beads, bling and paint, textured paste and more.
So what has Sue secreted away in this beautiful box for us to find?

Here is what Sue has to say about her box.
I love teal, it is my go to colour, so for a small project I chose to alter a wooden alphabet stamp box. First I have added texture with a stencil and glass bead medium, then painted with black gesso, turquoise paint and then lots of teal inka gold. I have decorated the top with chipboard, microbeads and gems. And finished with a coat of alchemy vintage gold wax.

Now my alphabet stamps are safe inside a glorious box, in my favourite colour.
How cute is this, a miniature set of stamps in a stunning box. See you just never know what is inside a box. Again another surprise, who would have thought!
Thanks Sue for sharing your box project. with us.
I am sure lots of you have raw boxes that would love a make over like Sue's. Then you could use them to hold your special keepsakes or for practical things like Sue's stamp set.

Over the next few days, our Design Team Members will be sharing more of their beautiful projects to inspire you.
I will be back on the 30th to share more of our "Colour of the Month"  projects from our amazing  Design Team. Also to share with you the projects sent to us by you. You still have time to get a project to me featuring Imaginarium Chipboard and the colour teal.
