February Inspiration with Leonie Neal-Dawson

Hello and welcome, Leonie here today sharing my February layouts.  I have three scrapbook pages to show you today using a wide variety of Imaginarium Designs chipboard starting with a page about friends, to everyday family snapshots and a travel themed page.

Seriously, Create, Art, Inspire
Who doesn't love a good crop or retreat to connect with and share our passion for scrapbooking and art?  So thats the theme of my first page today.  A photo of a retreat I attended last year.

The script words Inspire, Create, Art, Seriously were perfect for this page.  I decided to use all four of them and designed my journalling around them fitting them into the couple of sentences I wrote for this photo.

The words have been painted with Dina Wakley paints and then I applied a clear embossing powder while the paint was still wet.

As the theme for this page was all about creating and arty stuff I took a little creative license with the Star Burst Chipboards designed by Louise Nelson.  I thought that I could double them up as paint splats in line with the paint and mists splats already added to the background.  What do you think? Star Bursts or Splats, Success or not?  I guess depending on which way you look at them they could be either, so for today I'm interpreting them as paint Splats. ;))

Your Smile Lights Up My Life

Next up is a page about one of my 13 year olds (I have twins).   He was dared by his Auntie to grow his hair down to his shoulders!  Well he likes it so much it's now way past his shoulders and off he goes to school each day with it in the man bun!   It suits him and his personality so well.

I've framed my photos top and bottom with these linear chipboard designs by Louise Nelson.
Painted with Dina Wakley paint.  The background stencilling is also using Dina's paints.

This lovely title has been painted yellow and embossed with clear embossing powder to add some shine to it.

World Traveller

Lastly I have my World Traveller page.  As you can see I've cut one of Nat's large bubbles chipboard in half and used it to bracket the title.  I used Tim Holtz Broken China Distress Paint, to colour all the chipboard on this page.

As I wanted to include several photos on this page I used a blocking design and filled the gaps with chipboard pieces.  Some Cogs,  a Flourish, teeny tiny little chipboard Stars and some cute little Callouts.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Are you feeling creative today? Perhaps there's something here that's lit that creative spark in you?  Let me know in the comments.

Cheers til next time,
Leonie Neal-Dawson.
