Happy Australia Day - Tracey Fowler

Hello, my name is Tracey Fowler and I am very excited and extremely honored to have joined the fabulous 2016 Design Team here at Imaginarium Designs. I am looking forward to creating projects using the gorgeous ID chipboard and working alongside all the talented DT members.

For my very first post for Imaginarium Designs I would like to share with you a layout and card that I have created.

"Little Aussie Kid"

Since my first post happens to be on "Australia Day" it only seemed fit to create a layout that had a connection to celebrating Australia Day. Both my boys are sport crazy...and love to play cricket in the summer months...so this photo of my oldest son ready to go out and bat and ID chipboard title "Little Aussie Kid" was the perfect combination to create an Aussie themed layout.

I chose to use a blue, red and yellow theme to go with the Australian Day theme.
I have created the background using Gelatos, water spritzer, scraps of paper, gesso and texture paste and stencil.

I have inked the ID Chipboard title  using a black ink pad.

To create this affect on the ID 6x6 Morroccan Shape I firstly primed the chipboard piece using clear gesso and then used a blue, red & yellow gelato to colour in sections of the  ID 6x6 Morroccan Shape . Then spritzed with water to make the colours run and coat the raw chipboard. I then lightly dabbed white gesso randomly over the piece to soften and blend in with the rest of the layout.

I have added some   chipboard leaves  (IDFL0018) among the flower clusters. I used a distress ink to colour the leaves. Also to finish off the layout I have inked some Stars- IDS0076 which I placed sparingly around the string circle and top flower cluster.

"Best Wishes"

My second project that I have to share with you is a vintage style card.

I have heat embossed both the Wendy Frame (IDT0037)  and the Monarch Butterfly (IDS0059) for this card using a shabby gold and white embossing powder. I have inked the title Best Wishes (IDW0008) using black ink and very lightly dry brushed white gesso over the title to soften the look.

Well that is all I have to share with you for my very first post here at Imaginarium Designs. I look forward to sharing more projects with you throughout 2016.
