November Creations with Amanda

Hi chippie friends!

Welcome back for more chipboard love and inspiration!
Can you believe it is November already? OH my.....
Santa seriously needs to stop playing with chipboard & paper pretties
 and get his act together..lol!
But before he does,
Here's a look see at what's being created in the magic crafting cave ;)

First up, I have this shabby chic, mixed media page to share...

"Beautiful"

Isn't this page the sweetest?! Love that photo!!!
I've dived in to my Kaisercraft stash with this layout today - from paper & some of those blooms, to templates and even mists and inks!
And so many chipboard pretties here!!!
Let's take a closer look....

How pretty is that intricate border?
As it is such an ornate chippie, I've kept it's treatment simple with just a coat of
Kaisercraft Ink Pad : Petal. These ink pads are really juicy and give great coverage to chipboard.
I love the softness of the petal colour, so I've used it on Denise's Art Deco Embellishment #1 also...

If you look closely, you'll also notice that I daubbed a lil Kaisercraft Ink Pad: Bark around the edges of the Art Deco chipboard too.

And that too pretty title?
Well, thats been sprayed with Kaisermist: Vintage Gold - love that slight sparkle to it!

Gorgeous! Love these pretty chippies! They really do adorn our pages perfectly!

And my second page that I am sharing today is of my sweet girl....

"Imagine"

Scrapping from my stash again (Kaisercraft paper with lots of Prima yummies on this one!)
& isn't it just gorgeous?!
I've used lots of my old favourite chipboards on this layout with a few different treatments - so let's get straight into it!

Denise's Flourish #1 Medium has been treated with watered down gesso and applied with my fingers using a rubbing technique to give a really raw finish that blends well with the kraft and brown tones in the layout. I also added a tiny drop of lime Kaisermist to one of the flourishes....

The title 'imagine' and lower hot air balloon have both been sprayed in
Kaisermist: Antique Gold - I love this mist!
It has such an earthy feel to it despite the metallic sparkly look - very cool!

The remaining hot air balloons are inked in Kaisercraft: Island, and then rubbed down with either gesso or lime mist - gently blending them to partner with the flourishes.
Here's a closer look....

I love the hot air balloons!
I use these chippies all year round for a ton of different projects - they're just so versatile and work for a variety of styles & themes.
Awesome!

My final layout that I am sharing today is actually a Guest Designer project for this month's
Kraft Plus challenge blog :)

The challenge is: It must have a Kraft background PLUS be inspired by the rockstar Pink -
but not use the colour as inspiration!
Sounded like my kinda fun - here's my take on it....

Soooo... after much thought on this one I came up with this!
Love these two! They really are my reason for memory keeping in the first place.
This page is created with the new Maggie Holmes Crate Paper: Shine Collection.
I was inspired by the yellow and green tones, as well as roses, that feature on Pink's CD covers,
as well as the song title "True Love".
Naturally, I've given it my contemporary twist but I think it works?
Here's another view....

So cool! But what do you think? Did I pull it off?
Love to know your thoughts on this one ;)
