Sweet Shabby Chic

Hi, Carol here today to share about 2 sweet shabby chic projects.

"Little Things Big Memories" Layout

First is a layout of my daughter when she was younger. This photo was taken at Singapore Botanic Gardens (which recently been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site). Love the lush lawns there and its a place that hold lots of childhood memories for most Singaporeans including me.

For the background, I spread texture pastes over stencils randomly.

Then misted vertically with Prima and Tattered Angels mists (brown, pastel blue, pink, light yellow).

Added some gauze with gel medium to background.

For the chipboards, I gesso over them first.

Then add Distress Crackle Paint, white at random spots.

Lastly, misted same pastel colors as the background. Apologies for my bright table lamp that the colors are not that visible.

Distress the photo mat and ink the edges with chalk ink. Then assemble all the elements, popping them up with 3d foam tapes. I also sprinkled some white mist across page.

Here's some closeups of the layout:

Here's the chipboards I used for this layout:

"Time Creates Wonderful Memories" Mini Album

For this album, I used Websters Pages collection for whole album. Love this color palette. My all time favorite.  For the background and edges, I added texture paste and glass bead gel mixture randomly. For the chipboards clocks, flourishes, I added same texture paste/glass bead gel mixture and ink randomly with teal chalk ink. For the chipboard title, I colored it with Viva Decor Inka Gold and added tint of gesso to dull it down.

Here's the chipboards I used for this album:

Hope you enjoy both my shabby chic projects. Do leave a comment to stand a chance to win a pack of chipboards. Have fun.

Thanks for dropping by.
