Watercolor Chippies

Hi, Carol here today. Recently I'm very into watercolors. So my projects for this month involves watercolor too.

First I want to share 3 cards I made with embossing folders and watercolored backgrounds.

"Thoughts of You" Card

After I embossed the clouds, I wet the whole page with a wet brush and then add different shades of blue watercolors to it. This is so that the watercolors will blend nicely and won't have hard lines.

For the chipboard title, I gesso it and add blue shades of watercolor to it. After dry I add glossy accent.

"You Are My Everything" Card

For this card, I also add watercolors to the background after emboss. Just want to create light shades of pink.

For the chipboard title and heart, I gesso and add red and pink watercolors too.

"Love" Card

For the background, I emboss and add different shades of brown to the embossed bricks. I also watercolor 2 white Prima flowers.

For the chipboard vines, I gesso and add Shimmerz paint on it and some white and light brown inks. For the chipboard title, I gesso and add brown and green watercolors.

Next I want to share a A4 scrapbook page.

This page is about me. I scrapbook about my family, my kids and yet nothing about me. So this time I want to do one about me. In that way, when I pass the albums to my kids, they are able to share with their kids about their grandma. LOL..

I drip some watercolors in the background, add patterned papers, lace and diecut doily. I watercolor some small red  flowers, cut them out and add around the photo.

For the chipboard gears and birdcage, I gesso them and add brown and green watercolors. I also randomly stamp on the gears.

Here in these 2 pictures, you can see the watercolored flowers that I done. I added a bird cutout too.

I hope you like my projects. Here's the chipboards that I have used:

Do leave a comment to win a pack of chipboards. Have fun.
Thanks for dropping by.

  3. Lovely inspiration today. Nice way to use the chipboard words. Especially I love your THOUGHT OF YOU with that pretty blue sky behind.
Also your brickwall card is fantastic. Love the way they add texture and the way you painted them. The flowers and chipboard pieces look awesome the way you used them.
And of course the birdcage layout.... Gosh one can never go wrong using a chipboard cage in a layout. And you used it just a fabulous way.

  4. Beautiful projects. Love the flowers on the "love" card. they are such pretty colors and really show up against the "brick". The layout is wonderful. All of the flowers around the picture and the wood birdcage. The way the wood pieces were finished in the first cards are great ideas for future cards of my own. thanks for sharing.
