More from Katie

Hi there, Katie back again with another guest post.

I think the hardest part of all is deciding which pieces that I want to use!
I guess it is a hard job, but someone has to do it!

For my post today I have created another layout, this one with a beach theme.

I decided some flourishes would be perfect for this beach theme as they kind of look like waves. I painted them with white gesso and then positioned them overlapping a little so that they did look like waves at the bottom of the photo. Then I grabbed some light blue seed beads and added them in a random fashion onto the chipboard. The idea was to mimic the foam and bubbles on the waves.
Then to finish off the page I added some arrows to direct your eyes into the photos. These arrows were also simply painted with white gesso. The white helped to keep the whole page light and fresh.

And if you are interested I created the title on my Silhouette Cameo. I welded the words together and outlined in pen before cutting, also keeping it white and fresh.

Thanks for joining me again.
Katie

  1. WOW - FUN photos and FABULOUS layout Katie!!!
LOVE your foam bubbles & waves!!! Did you use the gesso to adhere the beads in place or a different adhesive? I would love to try this on a card - THANK YOU for the CREATIVE INSPIRATION :)
