October Projects and A Scrap Space Peek

Hi all!!

Belinda here today to share with you my two October projects and a little sneaky peek at my creative space.

First up is a layout I created using an eclectic mix of different chipboard pieces. I love to mix and match my chipboard pieces. I use a little bit here and a little bit there. It's a great way to make your chipboard last!

I chose to colour my chipboard pieces to co-ordinate with my photo. I began with a gesso base on all of the pieces. I then applied Faber-Castell Gelatos, blended with my finger before spritzing with a little water. I added a little gesso on top of some of the pieces to highlight them a little.

Here's what I used:

IDW0073 I Smile Because Of You

IDDD0002 Denise's Flourish 1

IDW0059 My Favourite Photos

IDDL0015 Lou's Heart Shapes

IDDL0022 Loolabelle's Chevrons #2

My second project is a fun tag I created using a photo booth photo taken at the Seriously Scrapbooking All Day Scrap.

I began by adhering some chipboard triangles as well as Loolabelle's Circular Cross Hatch onto a raw chipboard tag. I then covered everything with a couple of coats of gesso. Next I added a little more texture by scraping some Golden Light Molding Paste over a text stencil. I added colour using Faber-Castell Gelatos and then experimented with getting the colour to run by spritzing with water. The colour wasn't quite vivid enough so I sprayed on some Dylusions Ink Sprays and let them run too. The title and flourish pieces were simply painted with gesso as a contrast to all of the colour.

I hope you have been inspired by my projects today and are ready to play with colours on your chipboard pieces too.

Don't forget to leave a comment to go into the draw to win a pack of chipboard!

Make sure you pop back tomorrow to see some more inspiration. For now I will leave you with some snapshots of my creative space. I don't have a separate room that I can dedicate to my crafting. I just have an awkward little space right inside the front door. It's not the space that matters in my opinion, it's the way you use it!! ;-)
