Two Layouts By Julianne McKenna-De Lumen

Hello everyone!
It's Julianne here today, sharing two gorgeous layouts that are very, very different from each other. It's amazing how Imaginarium Designs chipboard can be used for all different styles of scrapping - the only limitation is your imagination!!! My first layout involves a lot of flowers and metal trinkets, while my second layout is much more about colour, little details, and doodling, yet ID chipboard works comfortably with both.

"SHE IS SO...DELIGHTFUL"
I wanted to create a romantic and feminine layout, but with a slightly grungy edge to it, so I delved into my stash of metal trinkets to see what I could create. I adore mixing flowers, chipboard, and metal. There is just something about that combination of embellishments that makes me so happy. For my background I have masked with texture paste, stamped and embossed, and sprayed with mists. My metal trinkets have been given extra colour by painting them with Silks paints.

Most pieces of the chipboard have been painted with white gesso, and sprayed with Dazzling Diamonds Glimmermist. The border has been sprayed with a very pale gold mist, and the butterflies have been inked gold, and decorated with Kindy Glitz.

I have used the  photo frame and corner flourish to help "frame" my photo.
And I have layered various metal embellishments together to create my metal flowers.

"SHE BLOWS BUBBLES"
This layout was created while I was away on a retreat, so it was all about using what I had on hand, experimenting with some new products and techniques, and having fun!

My background was created with a mask and texture paste, Gelatos, and a stamp. Many of the embellishments were odds and ends that I found in my "goodies bag" or lying on the table.
I then used a black pen to add all my doodling details once the layout was complete.

This whole design started with this script stamp. Then I kept adding layers and details until I was happy with the end result. And yes, I used sequins to recreate my bubbles.

Because this layout was all about having fun with the design and colours, I decided to journal straight onto my layout. To be honest, I really did not follow any rules or guidelines while creating this layout - it was very much anything goes!

I used a brown Glimmermist to colour my birds and stems, and I painted the alphas hot pink, then added Glossy Accents for a shiny finish. The heart and "love" pieces have been painted pale pink, and coated with Shimmerz Textures.

Oh, and a little birdie told me that "neon" is the new craze and "in thing". So I couldn't help myself, I just had to play with some neon products that found their way into my stash. :)
