Guest Designer .... Amy Prior

Hi everyone!

Amy Prior here and I am so very excited to be sharing some inspiration with you all today here on the Imaginarium Designs Blog, eeekk someone pinch me LOL.

I have a couple of layouts to share with you all today, first off is a layout titled “It’s Your Smile That Captures My Heart”.

I have used tonnes of amazing Imaginarium Designs goodies on this layout including IDP0093 It’s Your Smile That Captures My Heart Title, IDDL0017 Loolabelle’s Nested Hexagons, & IDT0032 Edward Relief.

I decided to cut up the gorgeous title to use above and below my photo and I have decorated the title by adding lots of texture paste followed by some Heat Embossing of Pearl Utee and some doodling with a Posca Marker. I have also decorated the Edward Relief shapes in the same way but I have skipped the doodling.

On my background I have used lots of scattered Loolabelle’s Nested Hexagons and these were all covered using the Kaisercraft paper that I have used for the layout, plus some Archival Ink pad stamped directly onto the paper. Archival Ink pads have such a fun texture all on their own when pressing directly onto chipboard etc. Fun texture and no stamp required I love it.

The next layout that I have to share with you all today is titled “Chance Made us Sisters, Hearts Made Us Friends”. I just love this quick snap shot iPhone photo of my 2 daughters. They truly are best of friends most of the time and it makes me so happy, I always wanted a sister.

For this layout I have used the fabulous Imaginarium Designs IDDL0004 Two Hearts with Cross Flourish as well as the Imaginarium Designs IDW0046 Sisters Title. I just loved playing with the hearts & Cross Flourish and I have even used some of the negative space that came with the chipboard on this layout.

I really feel like I was vomiting colour on this layout and I just love that!
My background was created marbling lots of Shimmerz Dazzlerz Paints and a stencil so I wanted to paint the Two Hearts Cross Flourish the same way.

When my marbled Dazzlerz Paint had dried on the Two Hearts Cross Flourish, I have added some stamping using a Kaisercraft Texture Stamp and Archival Black Ink. I decided that I wanted to add a little bling to the chipboard so I have added some random embossing using WOW Ultra High Platinum Embossing Powder and a little more stamping to distress up the embossing finished it off.

The Imaginarium Designs Sisters Title has been simply painted with Black ShimmerzDazzlerz Paint and then I have added some more WOW Ultra High Platinum Embossing using a 6x6 Crafters Workshop Stencil. I love masking onto chipboard! It works best with small intricate design masks/stencils. As a last thought, I wanted to add the negative heart outlines and inner heart shapes so I have simply covered these pieces with Texture Paste, Painted with ShimmerzDazzlerz Paints and then finished off with some Platinum Embossing and random Archival Ink Stamping.

Thanks so much for reading along, I hope I have inspired you all to try some fun new techniques with your chipboard! Until next time, happy scrapping!

Amy Prior xx
