This is Home Layout with Belinda

Hi all!!
Belinda here today to share with you my first layout and blog post as a Design Team member. I am so thrilled to be joining this amazingly talented team.
Here is my first official DT layout...

My favourite way to use chipboard on my layouts is to just use it in its raw state as you can see above with Loolabelle's Chevrons.

For this layout I challenged myself to be a bit more adventurous with the chipboard.  For the Criss Cross Frame 1 I first applied some white gesso using a make-up wedge. I then placed the Burlap Tim Holtz Layering Stencil over the top and swiped some Golden Light Molding Paste over the top with a palette knife. Once that was dry I then coloured it with Glimmermist and Viva Décor 3D Stamp Paint in Metallic Brown.

I just had to use the 4 Ears of Barley chipboard as it seemed to suit my photo so well. I wanted to make them the same colour as the dry grass in my photo so I started by applying gesso. Then I applied Faber Castell Gelatos and smudged a little with my fingertips. I sprayed on a little water and blended again. Once that was dry I sprayed with Heidi Swapp Color Shine in Gold. To finish it I inked around the edges with Coffee Ranger Archival Ink.

The title was created using letters from the Capital Letters board.

I again applied gesso first and then coloured with Faber Castell Gelatos before spraying with Trunk Bay Tattered Angels Glimmermist.

Finally I added some butterflies from the Tinies 4 Small Butterflies board.

I simply applied a couple of coats of white gesso to them before adhering onto my layout.

Here's what I used:

IDDN0024 4 Ears of Barley in a board
IDDL0022 Loolabelle's Chevrons #2
IDDL0008 Criss Cross Frame 1
IDT0014 Tinies - 4 Small Butterflies with Cut Out Wings in board
IDAUC0001 Capital Letters

Thankyou for visiting the blog today and checking out my first post.

Please leave a comment to go into the draw to win a pack of chipboard!

Cheers
Belinda
