So to keep you inspired... a Design Team Share Day

Good Morning Everyone.
Today I have the pleasure of sharing with you two of our amazing designs team members projects. Our design team is made up of the most wonderful ladies who have been chosen because of their unique style. Each of them is quite different from each other.  I admire all my design team ladies and really enjoy seeing their work here on the blog. They are all in a class of their own.
So to inspire you today is ...
 Sandi Spink

Sandi is a mixed media artist. Her work shows a simplistic approach with lots of space to rest your eyes. That doesn't mean there is nothing going on - but you need to look closely to  see the amount of work Sandi puts into every project. To make something look simple and engaging is quite an art and Sandi is an expert at this. She is also an expert photographer who likes to experiment from time to time. You can check out her blog or facebook for more images of her work.

Here is what Sandi has to say about her stunning layout.

My background was created by using Gel medium over the 'Heart Stencil IDMM001'. When dry I painted the top area with 13@rts violet watercolour and let it run.

The 'Nats hearts IDD0042' and the word SNAP from the 'Family snap shots IDW0063' were painted with a deep red acrylic paint with the Fun times and 'Cross Hatch IDD0056' chipboard with a turquioise colour. Behind the photo I placed stamped paper and torn book pages.

Thanks so much Sandi for sharing your beautiful layout with us.

Next up is Tracey Fowler.
Tracey also does mixed media as well. For this layout, she has chosen to work on a print paper as her foundation and alter it. Tracey is an expert of placing lots of bits and pieces on her layouts, so you need to look carefully or you may miss something. There is an art to clustering your embellishments on a layout so it looks balanced and not just plonked - Tracey is a master at this and her layouts always look amazing. She has a great eye went it comes to taking and choosing her photos. The one she has used today is just stunning and really captures the persons personality.

Here is what Tracey has to say about her "Treasured Memories" Layout.
For this layout I chose a paper that already had a mixed media feel and a touch of purple. I layered the photo with old music paper and vellum.

To add some more dimension and layering I used tags cut from patterned paper, diecuts, flowers and coloured the ID chipboard Boarder in purple and the ID flourish in white.

For the ID phrase I also used a inkpad to colour the raw chipboard. The flicks of white and white chipboard circles just break the dark background and make the purple really pop.
