October creations with Sonia

Hi everyone! Sonia here with my projects for October. I've had a little play this month with two off the page projects and a layout.  I'm trying to clean up my craft area (for some reason I keep getting distracted - it could be all the things I keep finding that I had forgotten about!) and I wanted to make something to keep some of my smaller projects like tags and cards in. So I decided to make a memory box that is versatile - this can easily be used to keep all sorts of bits and pieces in. The layout was inspired by a couple of cute photos of my oldest daughter - they just make me happy whenever I look at them! Finally my tag is one that I add to my collection that I keep handy to add to gifts or cards for that added personal touch.

'Your Smile Lights Up My Life'

I absolutely adore these cute photos of my oldest daughter and wanted to keep the layout fairly clean so the photos shone through. The chipboard title is perfect for these shots!!

Imaginarium Designs products used: 'Your Smile Lights Up My Life' (IDP0212), Denise's Flourish 1 (IDD0001) and Peacock Feather (IDD0060)

All of the chipboard has been heat embossed in white. This allows for a great coverage without losing any of the gorgeous fine details of the chipboard

The intricate details of the Peacock Feather are just divine!!!

'Precious Memories' Memory Box

I purchased this book box from my local reject shop to store my cards and tags in but needed it to be 'prettied' up! So I covered the surface with some old, torn up music sheets and then sealed the surface. Next I had a play with some gorgeous chipboard resulting in a box more in keeping with my craft area!
Imaginariun Designs products used: Long Swirly Flourish small (IDFL0011), Edith Frame (IDT0038), 4 Small Butterflies (IDT0014), 'Precious' (IDW0086) and Isobel Upper Case Letters (IDA0009)

All of the chipboard (except for the Isobel Upper Case Letters) have been heat embossed in an aged gold embossing powder

The Isobel Upper Case letters which have been used to create the 'Memories' title have been inked in a dark brown ink. When inking smaller pieces of chipboard, put a strip of double sided tape onto your craft mat and place the letters just along the top edge of the tape. This stops the letters from sticking to your ink pad.

The gorgous Edith Frame has such beautiful details around it and sets off a vintage image perfectly

Now I have all my smaller projects in one place so they are easy to find when I need them!

'Friends Forever' Gift Tag

This tag is easy to make and a tag always comes in handy to add a personal touch to a gift. I used a nested tag die to cut the two tag shapes which are then stuck together. Then it's the fun part of embellishing away!!

Imaginarium Designs products used: 'Friends Forever' (IDP0216
This gorgeous chipboard title has been heat embossed in white. I love the mix of the two different fonts on this piece

Thank you for visiting today! Enjoy your October and happy creating!
