Hello!!
Belinda here to share a few layouts with you that I created last month.
First of all I can't believe I am referring to January as last month! Where did it go?
Secondly, even though I stated in my January post that I LOVE to use the chipboard pieces in their raw state, this month I am mixing it up a little and adding a lick of paint here and there. Just to keep everyone on their toes. ;-)
Let's take a peek at the raw chipboard layouts first.
'Seriously' Layout
Just a scattering of strategically positioned chipboard is all this fairly minimalist layout needed. Well it's minimalist for me anyway.
Here's a closer look.
I just LOVE these little chevrons. The perfect addition to any layout but in particular to boy layouts.
'# Wonderful' Layout
For my second layout, I used the fabulous Jot Magazine January mood board for inspiration. I used a photo of one of the little fallow deer fawns we bred on our farm. They are so stinking cute!
I have again reached for those awesome chevrons. I can't help myself! I have used another hashtag word as my title as well as some lovely leaves too.
Oh and don't forget that sweet little heart!
For my next layout, I have used a mix of raw chipboard as well as some that I have added a lick of colour to using acrylic paints.
'One Cool Aussie Kid'
I created this layout for the Australia Day Map Marker challenge at Charm's Creations featuring a map marker embellishment. I had a title in mind but didn't have enough letters left in any one alphabet so I have used a combination from all of the alphabet boards that I had. I also threw in the 'cool' word too. I decided to randomly paint some of the letters with acrylic paints to match the rather 'random' use of alphas. I love the way it turned out.
I added in some stars and my favourite chevrons and even the negative board left over from my stars.
And last but not least is this sweet layout featuring ALL painted chipboard!
'Smile' Layout
It's kind of looks like strawberries and cream, don't you think? I loved this sweet colour combination so painted my chipboard with white gesso and then coloured parts of it with a pink Faber-Castell Connector Pen of all things! I reckon it worked pretty well.

Well that is all from me this month. I hope I have inspired you to get creative and have a play with your own awesome Imaginarium Chipboard. Make sure you pop back tomorrow for some more amazing inspiration from the creative team.
*Don't forget to leave a comment to go in the draw to win a pack of chipboard*
Cheers

Belinda you truly created some lovely layouts. Gosh for a lot of embellishment, colors, layers. It's so easy to see that you are "obsessed" with the chevrons....lol.. But you are right. They can be used on most layouts. And still use them in varied ways..painted, raw, embossed etc..
ReplyDeleteI love your work and the gorgeous pictures. The pne with the deer softened my heart. Gosh it's so adorable.
Thank you for sharing all your wonderful work.
Hugs from Monica.... Spainit.
