Hi all!!
Belinda here today to share with you my two projects for June.
First up is my layout for the White With 1 June challenge which is to combine WHITE with POMEGRANATE.
I used the fabulous Criss Cross Frame IDDL0008 to frame my photo.
I applied two coats of white gesso to the frame and then tore it into pieces. I layered these pieces on two diagonal corners.
Next I cut the phrase Simple Things Matter Most IDP0031 into two pieces and also gave a couple of coats of gesso.
Ombre seems to be all the rage at the moment so I created an ombre effect using 3 shades of Faber-Castell Gelatos. I blended the colours on the title starting with the darkest at the top and working down getting lighter as I went. I spritzed with a little water, dried off and then added some Mels Diner Tattered Angels Glimmermist on top.
I finished by adding two sweet little heart centres from Lou's Heart Shapes IDDL0015.
These were painted with gesso and then coloured with Gelatos and Glimmermist again.
I do hope you get a chance to join in on the White With One challenge this month. Would love to see how you use your Imaginarium Designs chipboard too!
My second project is an off the page project I created for the latest issue of Australian Scrapbook Ideas. I was challenged to alter some toys. I began with a Littlest Pet Shop bobble head cat that my daughter kindly let me have (as long as she got to keep it afterwards!).
This is how it started.
After a lot of mixed media and many hours of work, my 'Glamour Puss' ended up like this...
I used the following ID chipboard:
IDW0026 Love Cherish and Adore
IDT0014 4 Small Butterflies
All chipboard pieces were simply painted with a couple of coats of gesso to make them stand out against the coloured cat.
Thankyou so much for stopping by the blog today and taking time to check out my projects.
Please leave a comment to go into the draw to win a pack of chipboard.
Cheers
Oh I love that kitty 😉
ReplyDeleteBelinda! Your altered toy cat is AMAZING! I'm really impressed by the result.
