You Inspire Me & A Small Canvas

Hi Everyone, Karen here to share a couple of projects for July with you!!

For my 1st project I did a layout of my daughter Jenn.  This is a photo she took of herself and I thought the papers would go perfectly with it!!

To alter the chipboard I gessoed them and then embossed using Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Powders (Seafoam White and Tattered Rose) for the small frames and for the phrase I used only the Seafoam White.  Just a side note the Tim Holtz Ornate Frame I altered using the new Ranger Patina for metal and it's so fun, they work really great.  I used some on my chipboard in my next project and they work great on chipboard too!!

For my 2nd project I decided to give a canvas a go, it's been awhile but I had fun with this one.  This is an image that I found online and I'm sorry that I can't remember where I found it.  I used a brick wall picece of paper to display it so the fern would show up, but the lights not so great today.

To alter the chipboard I first gessoed them and let that dry and then I painted them randomly with the new Ranger Patina line for metal using the "Moss", "Verdigris", "Earth", and "Victorian Gold".  I also altered the Ornate Farme and butterfly using the same colors.  The Fern I painted with white gesso.  For the key I also used some embossing powder for some texture.  The canvas is covered with Tim Holtz Idea-ology Tissue Wrap - Terminology.
