Welcome to the Imaginarium Designs blog! Julianne here today, sharing two layouts with you - both filled with flowers and butterflies, and all things sweet and pretty.
My first layout uses some of the new release chipboard from Imaginarium Designs. Isn't it awesome!!! I am totally in love with the new window frame and shutters, and the Monarch butterflies.
"HAPPINESS"
Without a doubt, my daughters are my happiness. I am so proud of them, and all that they represent. I created this layout to celebrate the happiness that they bring into my life. I've used butterflies, bird cages, and peacock feathers to create a sweet, feminine page.
I covered the bird cage with white ink, then with a layer of teal ink. I then finished it off with a coat of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmermist. Once dry, I added rhinestones and liquid pearls for the finishing touches.
I used the same method for the flourishes and peacock feather - ink, then a coat of Dazzling Diamonds. The peacock feather has an added touch of Mermaid Glimmer Glam.
The window frame was coated with Vintage Pink ink, then coated with Dimensional magic, and allowed to dry. The shutters were coated with Vintage ink ink, a layer of Chandelier Glimmer Glam, and a sprinkle of Martha Stewart glitter (coarse). Once dry, I adhered the pieces together, and attached the photo on top.
The butterflies were inked in pink and green, then layered with a coat of Dazzling Diamonds Glimmermist. Once dry, I outlined the butterflies with clear Kindy Glitz, and added a brad through the centre for some added colour and dimension.

My second layout features my youngest daughter. She is always happy and cheerful (it might have something to do with her being such a comedian, lol!).
"HAPPY DAYS"
My aim was for this layout to be whimsical, and pretty. To create this feeling, I used lots of soft, pretty colours, flowers, butterflies, and vintage images.
To create the butterflies, I inked them, then added a coat of Glimmer Glaze (Wicked Green). Before it could dry, I sprinkled on lime green glitter, allowed it to dry, and added another coat of Glimmer Glaze, and dried with a heat gun. I finished off the butterflies with a green pearl in the centre.
Originally, I coated the phrase with Liquid Pearls in a vibrant orange. But once it dried, I realised it was too vivid for the page, so I toned it down by added a coat of orange Stickles Glitter on top.
The Penny Farthing was coated with a brown ink, then covered with a layer of Cowboy Glimmer Glaze. It created a beautiful rustic shade of brown. (I used the same method on the Embellishment 8 piece). I finished off the Penny Farthing with a soft pink brad through the centre of the wheel.
The swirl corner was inked with Vintage Pink (from Ingvilde Bolme). I then added a coat of pink Glimmer Glam on top. Once dry, I finished with a coat of Dimensional Magic.
