Today I have some truly inspiring work by Louise to show you .....
Louise loves Feathers :) :) :)
Layout 1
Materials used;
Imaginarium Designs; 12 x 12 chipboard background board, small feather, small flourish
Krylon Gesso
A Lil' Somethin' doily
Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist
Wire Mesh
Uni Posca Pen
Staples
As
you can see from the close up photo Louise has used a fairly simple
spray gesso treatment of the chipboard featherand left the flourish raw.
What Louise was wanting to achieve with this particular layout, design
wise, was a complementary coloured stacking of her
embellishments/elements, with the photo on top. She thought this would
look a little more interesting, than clustering them around the photo.
Considering how small this photo and 'pile' of embellishments is, it is
surprising it doesn't look out of balance!
Layout 2 - you
Materials used;
Imaginarium Designs; 12 x 12 chipboard background board, small and large feathers
Krylon Gesso
Tattered Angels Chalkboard Glimmer Mist, Glaze and Glam
Wire
Uni Posca Pen
Staples
Whilst
painting your chipboard with mist is nothing out of the ordinary, what
tickled Louise's creative fancy was how; with the design of the feather
she could pool the glittery glam within the design to highlight the
finer elements of the feather design.
OMG These are just stunning
Thanks so much Louise

ReplyDeleteOh very arty, creative .. so different to 'me' ... I adore how you add splashes of colour and those feathers, are gorgeous. The feathers I find in much of your work and I am left asking, do you like birds? Enjoy seeing your style Louise, its new to me, and I find it fascinating.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sandie :). Its more a case of liking to use feathers in my creativity than actually liking birds :)
DeleteAmazing, arty and creative, Lou these are so wonderful :)

DeleteI love your style, Louise! It's so very different from mine, with my piles of printed paper! But I just love the look and drool over every detail. You are amazing. It was so nice meeting you...over and over and over...hee hee. You are just the sweetest thing ever!
ReplyDeleteOooh Gloria thank you so much!!!! LOL it was just the coolest meeting you IRL!!!! :) xxx
DeleteYour creativity in your art is phenomenal! Love the chippies! Multi media is my favorite way to play. Starting with a blank "page" is so fulfilling and then expressing your play or passion from start to finish - Love it and really appreciate your work. Wish there was more chippies avail here in the US, You have some wonderful flourishes, feathers and words, not to mention anything we haven't seen yet. Think I have to move to get the good stuff lol ;)
