September creations with Sonia Thomason

Hi everyone, it's Sonia here today to share my projects for September using the gorgeous Imaginarium Designs chipboard!
Spring has sprung (although the cold weather is still here in WA!!!) and the thought of Spring had me wanting to play with soft colours and florals. I have used patterned papers with a similar colour palette but have used different finishes on my chipboard. This has given the finished products quite different looks. The finishes I have used are heat embossed white, aged gold and aged silver.

'You make me happy'

Imaginarium Designs products used: 'You Make Me Happy' IDW0097 and 'Madison Flourish' IDFL0019
I love the different fonts in the title as it adds interest to the page - particularly if you are using a long title on your project!

Don't be afraid to cut your chipboard up! The chipboard is tougher than you think! I loved the pattern on the flourish but the shape did not quite fit what I had in mind - so I cut it in half!

The aged gold embossing powder gives a gorgeous finish to the chipboard!

'Create Your Own Dreams'

Imaginarium Designs products used: 'Create Your Own Dreams' IDP0191, 'Denise's Oval Art' IDD0047 and 'Nat's Hand Drawn Leaves' IDD0044

All the chipboard on this layout was heat embossed with a white embossing powder. When I was covering the surface of the chipboard with embossing ink I made sure that not all the areas were totally covered as this gives you a more distressed look.

I love the leaves poking out from the small flower cluster as it brings the elements together!
Denise's Oval Art adds beautiful dimension to the page when it is used to highlight the photo.

'Love You' Card

Imaginarium products used: 'Monarch Butterfly' IDS0059, Denise's Oval Art IDD0047, 'Isobel Upper Case Alphas' IDA0009 and 'Isobel Lower Case Alphas' IDA0010

With these two pieces of chipboard I heat embossed them but used an aged silver this time which gives a totally different look to the chipboard:

The Isobel alphas were coloured using a black ink:

I hope the gorgeous Spring weather gives you plenty of photo
opportunities and gets the mojo going!
Happy scrapping!
