I have chosen gorgeous layouts featuring our pretty feathers from all the wonderful layouts I have received from our talented design team.
Our feathers are so versitile and suit pretty, feminine pages through to something a little different and grungy!
First up is Julianne, who is famous for her bright and beautiful layouts, so this layout is very special. Having seen this one, I think she should do pastel more offen.
IDS0031 Button Board
Techniques used....
Buttons
- Begin by embossing all buttons with an embossing folder and machine (I used
the Cuttlebug). Then thoroughly coat all over, with brown ink (I used Ingvild
Bolme Prima inks). Once dry, wipe a lighter, contrasting colour gently over the
top of the buttons (you do not want the ink to go down in between the embossed
areas). Allow to dry. If desired, highlight embossed areas with Kindy Glitz..
Finish with twine in the centre of the buttons, and adhere to the page.

Words - Simply coat with brown ink (I have used Ingvilde Bolme Prima inks). Once dry, adhere to page.
Feathers
- coat with two layers of white Gesso. Once completely dry, colour in selected
shades using Copic Pens (in this example, I have recreated an ombre range).
Once dry, coat with clear embossing ink, and sprinkle with clear embossing
powder. Shake off the excess powder, and heat using a heat gun. Once cool,
adhere to page.

This next page is titled Wishing you Happiness by Natalie May.
This page has recently been published in one of Australia's leading Scrapbooking Magazines.
Natalie created it on a 12x12' ID chipboard background which gave great support for the layers of paint and ink that she applied to get the final look.
The skeletal feathers, title and butterfly have been given a coat of gesso and then Glimmermist and once dry, Dimensional Magic was wiped over to give a glossy look.
