Amazing Altered Art Projects

Good Morning Everyone
Hope you all had a great weekend!. Today I want to share some beautiful projects from the design team. Altered art is one of my favorite forms of scrapbooking. It allows the designer to create something quite special as there are no boundary's. You are only limited by your imagination and creativity. The two projects I am going to share with you today, are perfect examples of this.
First up is an altered art piece from Sandie and I know you are going to be amazed by what she has made.
It is a music box and here is what Sandie had to say about her beautiful piece.
"I immediately knew when I spied the ‘Dress’ (IDS0007) and ‘Window with Latice’ (IDS0016) in my Imaginarium Designs chipboard box, that I wanted to create a replica, music box.

IDS0007 Dress Form

I aged all the chipboard pieces in a process which includes gesso, CIP paints, distress ink and crackle medium. Just love the finish and the way the crackle medium works on the chipboard.

I love all the detail Sandie adds to her work. Little pearls and lace work so well together.

IDB0003 Four Circles Border

I love the way she has added the flowers to her music box and the way they climb up the side of her music box.
I sprayed lightly with water the ‘Four Circles Border’ (IDB0003) so that it would be more pliable, carefully manipulating the border to where I wanted it to go. This was held in place with rubber bands till dry, and adhered using glue dots.  Often, I will place my ‘wet’ chipboard pieces into the oven on a very low heat if I am too impatient – just remember if you are going to use this process too that the heat is ‘low’!

Imaginarium Designs: ‘Dress’ (IDS0007), ‘Window with Latice’(IDS0016), ‘Four Circles Border’ (IDB0003)

Isn't a really beautiful piece and you can see what I mean by only being limited by your imagination and creativity. This little music box is both a perfect keepsake or gift for someone epecial.

Next up is another beautiful Altered Art Piece from Maiko. Again Maiko's work shows her imagination and creativity so well. She has made a clock, and isn't is stunning. Maiko has made it so it really tells the time.

I love the soft colours she has used and the way Maiko has clustered everything on her project.

Here is what she had to say about her clock.
"I don't have a wall clock in my scrap room. So I made it for ME using Imaginarium Designs and Prima.
But my daughter and my mother want this!!
I used 8 kinds of ID chipboards this time. I used modeling paste on the chipboards of clocks.
After spread it ,mist with Tattered Angels.

She has used the clock to make a mini shadow box and added layers of embelishments undertheath, she has even done some fussy cutting and built up the images cut from the paper.

I am sure you agree with me that these two projects are just lovely. Our two design team ladies  have done a wonderful job with these projects. They are both very talented  and I love seeing what they come up with each month. More to share in a day or two. Don't forget to leave a comment to go into the draw to win some chipboard.
